SECOND ZANNI
This workshop guides students through everything they need to know to perform the character most commonly known as 'Arlecchino'. It is the foundation of the entire Commedia dell'arte style.
Students learn the physical vocabulary of the character, learn numerous lazzi and begin creating their own unique zanni character.

This workshop safely teaches students the origins of the 'slapstick comedy' style.
They learn the basic skills & stunts used in stage combat.
Then how to use these skills to their fullest comedic AND dramatic effect !

Starting with the stock 7 and working through to lesser known, but just as important characters like Coviello, Giangurgolo and Scaramouche ...... (who can indeed do the fandango !)
SECOND ZANNI plus
