So, dont miss the chance to...
If you give us one full day, we will give your students a complete education on the dawn of modern theatre, slapstick comedy and the acting profession. Students will see a professional Commedia dell' arte show, then learn all the characters and work together in groups (with guidance from the Fools) to devise their own improvised scenes before finally performing their scenes for each other using our 3d printed set of Commedia dell'arte masks and handmade range of slapsticks.
The Fools can (only just) fit the entire Commedia dell'arte syllabus into our one day workshop and disguise the intensive learning with laughter, fun and play.
This is by far the best way to introduce students to Commedia dell'arte and ensures the rest of your time with them on the subject can be spent developing their confidence and comic abilities rather than spending weeks installing the basics.
It might sound like an indulgence to dedicate an entire day to Commedia.
but when you think about the core skills it develops, the history it has and the modern significance it still holds in modern film and t.v. spending one day to firmly establish an understanding and appreciation of the genesis of the entire subject of 'acting' you realize- its actually not an indulgence at all. It just feels like one because Commedia is so much fun!
PLUS OUR FOOL DAY WORKSHOP COMES WITH
2 x FREE MASKS
AND
2 x FREE SLAPSTICKS
(WITH A COMBINED VALUE OF $500 AUD)
